Retrieve the Destination Address of an Email

If you want to remove yourself from our list but are not sure which of your addresses was used for the sending, then you need to view the header of the message. That will reveal the destination address that was used to reach you.

Displaying the Message Headers in Outlook:

Open the message, then select View>Options on the message menu bar.  At the bottom of the window you will see a box marked message headers.

Displaying the Message Headers in Other E-mail Software:

You will need to find an option to display the Internet Headers of the message.  It will probably be an option under the View menu, but try searching the help if you need guidance.

When you find the list of message headers, scroll through them and you will see lines like:

Delivered-To: myself@someaddress.com

You will probably immediately recognize your address, but if you are not sure try removing all of the addresses that are listed.
