Dear Xequte Software User

Well if you have visited our site over the last couple of weeks you will have noticed the new style that it is sporting.  It is the first major revamp of the site since the conception of Xequte so it may seem a bit unfamiliar to our old customers.  However we believe the new design will be less confusing to navigate and easier on the eyes.

If you find any problems or have any comments please drop us a line.

The next few months we will be focussing on point releases for all our main products, that is, minor enhancements and bug fixes.  All will be free updates to users of the current versions.

First up is MailList King.  We have just issued v4.2 Beta and expect to go final by the end of the month.  The biggest changes are the vast improvements in the HTML Support and User Sending functionality.  Please see further details below.

We have also released another update of DVD PixPlay.

Finally an old friend is making his foray into the shareware market with the release of a very good Internet Bookmark Manager.  I have provided a link below.

* MAILLIST KING V4.2 BETA

Top ten new features of the v4.2 release:

1. Now includes a fully embedded HTML editor so images and links are displayed in situ
2. Vastly improved User Sending functionality with moderation of messages, HTML support and editing of the header field
3. Send Message dialog has been restyled and is now modeled on the Outlook message dialog
4. Can now minimize the application to the system tray (so automated checking and scheduled sending will continue)
5. New find function allows you to quickly locate specific database records
6. Can now configure the style of the graph displayed in the main window
7. New command "SubscribeInfo" allows users to get a report of all their subscription information
8. Much Faster searching/filtering of the database
9. New tag "Silent" which can be added to a command to process (subscribe, unsubscribes, etc) without generating an acknowledgement
10. The record limit in the unregistered version has been increased from 1000 to 10,000 entries

* DVD PIXPLAY V0.97 RELEASED

Another minor update of PixPlay has been released, it mainly offers bug fixes such as settings being lost when saving or previewing, some CD-ROM drives not being listed and drag-drop issues.  If you already have v0.96 and have not experienced problems with it, then please wait for v0.98.

SMART PIX/MEGAVIEW: REMOVING FOLDERS FROM YOUR FAVORITE FOLDERS LIST

Favorite Folders in Smart Pix and MegaView provide one click access to the folders that you use most often.  But how can you remove particular folders from the list?

Select a file and display the Move Dialog using File|Move...  Click on the Quick Links tab and then select the folder you want to remove. Finally right-click it and select the 'Remove Folder from List' option.

You can also do this using the Quick Move/Copy Flyover Tool


MAILLIST KING:  INTEGRATING MAILLIST KING WITH YOUR WEB SITE

DIJI ALBUM:  HOW MANY IMAGES CAN AN ALBUM CONTAIN?

There is not a limit on the number of images or pages that an album can support, but your distribution method will determine the maximum size of an album. E.g. if you are distributing via CD then your album cannot be larger than 700 MB, if you are sending the album by email then a few MB is your limit.  Keep an eye on the "big" files that you add to your album, especially sound and video clips.  Large images will also bloat your album, but remember you can use the automatic-resizing function when building your
album to optimize them.


DVD PIXPLAY:  QUICKLY REORDERING YOUR SLIDESHOW

For quickest reordering of the images in your slideshow, avoid the promote/demote buttons on the toolbar in favor of drag/drop.  Simply select the images (you can use the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple) then click the mouse on your selection and drag them to your desired destination.
