List
Dear Xequte Software User
We have two releases for
July, MailList King v4.2 and DVD PixPlay v0.98.
The update for MailList
King, our mailing list management software, improves HTML support and improves
user-sending functionality (details below).
DVD PixPlay, our tool for
displaying your images on DVD players, now offers more control over Title Page
editing and adding text and fun objects to your photos (details below). We
have tried to make the new editing tool much more functional without being too
complicated. Please let us know if you have comments on
this.
Coming soon to a PC near you, free updates to Diji Album, MegaView
and Smart Pix Manager.
Regards
Nigel Cross Xequte

* PROGRAM TIPS
- DVD PixPlay: Making your
Photos Fun
Want to add a sarcastic thought bubble to your wife or a Santa
hat to your father-in-law? With v0.98 you can add objects and text to your
images and title pages. The process is easy. Select an image and
then click the "Add Text" button. In the displayed dialog you will see
buttons to "Add Text" and "Add Image". Clicking the latter will allow you
to select from 90 common objects, such as arrows, thought and speech bubbles and
seasonal items.
- Smart Pix Manager/MegaView: Integrating with other
products
Did you know that other Xequte products integrate with Smart Pix
and MegaView. If you have Diji Album installed then you can export a list
of images with descriptions using Thumbnail|Export to Diji Album to create a set
of album pages with the images and their descriptions laid out to your
specification. If you want more control over the layout of your photo
printing then install Power Print. Select the images to print within Smart
Pix or MegaView and then click File|Print with Power Print.
- Diji
Album: Adding a commentary to your images
To make your albums even
more personal, add your own commentary. This can all be done within Diji
Album (all you need is a microphone):
1. Go to the page where you want to
add a commentary 2. Select Insert|Sound|Record Now from the menu 3. Record
your commentary and click Save 4. A sound button will be added to your page
(album recipients can click the button to play the commentary 5. If you want the
commentary to be played automatically when the page is shown, click it with the
right-mouse button and select "Properties". Check the "Play Automatically"
option (the sound button will then be hidden when viewing the
album)
- MailList King: Running in System Tray
A new
option is available in MailList King, "Don't close application, send to
System Tray". This option allows you to keep MailList King running (e.g.
to continue automatic processing and sending of messages) without a window
displayed in the task bar. Enact the setting under View|Options, Other,
Advanced. When you close the application it will now continue running in
the System Tray (with a small icon so you can quickly access common functions or
terminate it completely).
