Dear Xequte Software User
As promised, we have
released an update to Diji Album, our photo album software, which focuses on
improving the styling of the user interface and offers enhancements to
exporting, including direct writing to CDs and DVDs, and outputting to DVD
PixPlay. V4.1 is a free update to all our registered v4 users
(see below for details).
Even in its pre-release state, DVD PixPlay, our
DVD/VCD slideshow creation software, has quickly become a very popular
product for us, so it is with excitement that we nudge the final release out
of the nest. V1.0 mainly addresses compatibility problems that have
affected some users and offers minor enhancements. Coming soon in free
updates: faster SVCD creation, multiple slideshows and menus.
As
always, thank you to all our customers who continue to support
our efforts. And please forward this message to any friends or family
who might be interested.
Regards
Nigel Cross Xequte

* PROGRAM
TIPS
- Diji Album: Delaying page flipping until sound objects
complete
If you have a sound object on your album page, such as a spoken
commentary for your images, how can you time the page slideshow delay so that
it doesn't flip before the commentary completes? Easy, you don't have
to. With v4.1 there is now an advanced album option (File|Album
Properties, Style, Advanced) that allows you to specify that a page flip
should never occur until sound objects on the page have completed
playback.
- DVD PixPlay: Adding the image filename to the slideshow
display
A new option in DVD PixPlay allows you to add the filename to
every frame of your slideshow by enabling it in the Create CD Wizard.
Filenames are not added to title pages or any images to which you have
manually added text (i.e. using Edit|Add Text to Image)
- Smart
Pix Manager/MegaView: Internet Toolbar for quick file and
folder access
A great tool for Power Users is the Internet Toolbar as
it allows you to quickly browse to folders, web pages and files simply by
typing their location in the toolbar. You can display it using
View|Toolbars Internet Toolbar (not available if you have the Simplified
Interface enabled)
- MailList King: Subscribe Acknowledgements vs.
Welcome Messages
MLK offers two acknowledgment messages for users
subscribing to your mailing list. So what is the
difference?
Subscribe Acknowledgements are ALWAYS sent out when a user
attempts to join your mailing list and may include the "RESULT" field which
is filled with a summary indicating whether the user was successfully
subscribed or not. They allow a user to confirm that their subscribe took
effect (or, alternatively, discover that they have been surreptitiously or
erroneously subscribed by another user).
Welcome Messages are ONLY
sent when a user successfully joins a mailing list group (for the first time)
and you need to specify a welcome message for EACH group for which you want
one sent. They are useful for information that is only relevant to new
members of particular groups, for example, a special offer for which they can
only qualify once.
