Dear Xequte Software User,

Our first new product of 2003 has just been released!  DVD PixPlay allows you to create VCD's from your images.  VCD's are specially formatted CD-ROMs that can be played in your DVD Player.  Now it's easy to share your images, even with those friends and family members who do not have a computer.

We have also released a couple of free products: X-VCD, which allows playback of VCD disks on your computer, and a collection of background music tracks for Diji Album.

We are currently planning some new plug-ins to enhance the functionality of Smart Pix Manager and MegaView.  Please join our online survey and let us know which ones interest you (details below).

This software allows you to create Slideshow CD-ROMs that you can playback on your DVD Player.  It is simple to use and supports most CD Writers and DVD Players.

* SMART PIX V6.01 RELEASED

We have released a minor update to Smart Pix Manager.  The top five improvements are as follows:
- JPEG 2000 and XIF file format Support
- Add File Wizard is now much faster at adding files
- Pre-caching of images is now performed in separate threads
- When updating the database it is now automatically repaired
- Manual scrolling is much faster with support for Ctrl+Alt+Cursor Keys for larger scrolls

Smart Pix is a free update for all v6 users, no new key is required, simply install the new version over the old one.

* NEW BACKGROUND MUSIC COLLECTION FOR DIJI ALBUM

We have compiled a set of MP3 audio files that are suitable for Diji Album background music.  The files are quite compact, but loop indefinitely to provide a constant musical accompaniment as your album is viewed.  The set is free to all registered Diji Album users.  You can download it from:

DIJI ALBUM: EXPORTING YOUR ALBUMS FOR PLAYBACK ON DVD PLAYERS

You can create an album VCD for playback on your DVD player using our new product, DVD PixPlay.  To do this:
1. Run Diji Album and open the album you wish to export
2. Select File|Build/Distribute
3. Choose "Other: and then select the "Set of Images" export option
4. Follow the instructions to create your images
5. Run DVD PixPlay and add all of the images that you created in Diji Album
6. Select File|Create DVD Slideshow.


POWER PRINT: ADDING THE FILENAME AND DATE TO YOUR IMAGES

Power Print allows you to automatically add the filename and image date to your photos.  To do this, firstly go to Miscellaneous Options (View|Options, Miscellaneous tab), then set the "Attached Description Text" to "<shortfilename> <filedate>".
