Dear Xequte Software User,

We have so much news of upgrades (EZ-Pix), updates (Smart Pix, MegaView and
MailList King) and new software (Preggers) to advise you of, that this
really should have been sent earlier as separate messages, lest you fall
asleep while reading it.

However we have been holding off until the transfer of Xequte.com to a new
web server, which should address the occasional performance problems of the
previous one.  The new server is now up and running, so if you encounter new
problems reaching our site or e-mailing us, please let us know.

Anyway onto the news.


* NEW EZ-PIX RELEASE

We have released an updated version of EZ-Pix, which focuses on improving
the user interface without sacrificing usability or speed.

EZ-Pix v5.1 Top Five New Features:

- New thumbnail display, offering multicolumn layout and three file display
methods
- New explorer style directory selector
- Move/Copy dialog now resembles Windows 2000 style
- New customisable toolbars including an optional image editing toolbar
- Improved interface including images on menu items

Because EZ-Pix v5.0 was actually renamed MegaView, EZ-Pix v5.1 is actually
the successor to EZ-Pix v4.4.  Here is the recommended upgrade path:

Your Current Version ->   Recommended Version
EZ-Pix v4.*          ->   EZ-Pix v5.1 (free to purchasers in 2001)
EZ-Pix v5.0          ->   MegaView v5.25 (free upgrade)

V5.1 is a free upgrade to all purchasers of EZ-Pix in 2001. To obtain your
new key you need to forward your EZ-Pix order confirmation to us.  Other EZ-Pix users can upgrade for $12.00 via:

* MEGAVIEW AND SMART PIX UPDATES

We have also posted updates to Smart Pix Manager and MegaView.  These
releases focus on improving performance and adding new features.

v5.2 Top Five New Features:

- Added support for viewing and editing of MP3 tags (such as artist, song
title, etc) including automatic addition of MP3 tags as keywords to DB *
- Significantly faster when working with large databases *
- Transition Effects available during slideshows, dissolve, fade, sweep etc.
- New e-mail sending option, auto-convert and/or auto-resize to make image
e-mailing faster
- Support for viewing and editing of Multi-page tiffs

v5.2 is a free upgrade for all 5.* users and a new key is NOT required for
this release.  V4.* and earlier users should visit

* SMART PIX MANAGER CD INSTALLER

Interested in shipping a Smart Pix database on your image CD-ROM so that the
recipients can do keyword and text searches of the images?

Xequte offers a free installation tool that you can include on the CD-ROM to
offer extra install functionality with options including installation of the
software and/or custom database.

* HTML SUPPORT FOR MAILLIST KING

A new release of MailList King, v2.21, adds support for sending rich text
(HTML) e-mail messages.  The new version can be downloaded via:

* PREGGERS CONCEPTION PLANNER:

It's a funny old story but 'a friend' told me how she was interested in
getting pregnant and how she had read how to predict her most fertile dates.
'The friend' wondered if we could create a small program that would make the
calculations for her.   Thus, Preggers was born.  Preggers is absolutely
