pace we just might burn off all those extra pounds we piled on over the holiday
period.
This month we have two major upgrades and two minor updates to
announce. We have also opened our user forums, so you can discuss any
issues you are having with your software. See below for further
details.
Our plans for the first half of 2004 include major updates of Power Print,
MailList King and DVD PixPlay. All will be free upgrades if you have
purchased in 2004. DVD PixPlay users in particular should look forward to
major improvements in the features and usability of the software.
We also expect to have a totally new product out of the stables by the end
of February, but that one is still very hush-hush.
Here's wishing everyone the best for 2004, and don't be stranger, come and
visit us at the forums and tell us about your Xequte software experiences.
You can also e-mail us.
Regards
P.S. Please forward this message to any friends who might be interested * XEQUTE USER FORUMS OPENED

* PROGRAM TIPS
- EZ-Pix: Removal of the Red Eye effect
When a flash is used when taking digital photos you will often encounter a
satanic looking red glow on your subjects' eyes. With v7 there is now an
effective tool to remove this. On the menu select Edit|Remove Red
Eye. Then select the area over the eyes and Click OK
- Amaze: Shortcut keys With v4 you can now quickly change the options or images that Amaze is
using just by clicking C to display the configuration dialog while the screen
saver is running. You can also advance or reverse the slideshow using the
cursor keys, or pause it by clicking P.
- Smart Pix/MegaView: Reordering files If you have a particular set of images that you want to display (for
example a selection of baby photos when friends visit) you can create a playlist
by adding your files to Favorites (File|Add to Favorites) and then click the
Favorites tab to see all the files. You can then reorder those files by
dragging and dropping them to new positions. When you are finished you can
save your selection to a Favorites File List for later use.
- DVD PixPlay: Improving the quality of your output If you are always using VCD and displaying it on a large screen you may not
be satisfied with the quality. VCD resolution is equivalent to broadcast
TV, so for a better output you should use the higher resolution options of SVCD
or XVCD. XVCD is equivalent to the resolution of a standard DVD.
Note that support for SVCD and XVCD is not as widespread as VCD, but is still
high (around 75% of players, compared with 95% for VCD).
You can also check the High Quality encoding option. It will be much
slower to convert, but you are likely to see an improved result
