* SMART PIX MANAGER AND MEGAVIEW V7.03 RELEASES

Smart Pix and MegaView allow you to manage and view your multimedia, documents and digital image collection. Here is a list of the top five recent changes:

- Camera retrieval wizard now supports video formats
- Now offers a "View pictures on this device" option when inserting a camera or image CD under XP
- Added a shortcut key (Ctrl+Shift+L) to toggle through the main window layouts

* MAILLIST KING V4.35 RELEASED

MailList King allows you to manage and communicate with a mailing list from your own computer. Here is a top five list of recent changes:

- Can now optionally back up files via e-mail rather than to a local file
- Added a new command, "ExportMailingList <Group>", which allows retrieval of the mailing list from a remote location
- Now uses the default Windows DNS server when none is specified
- Can now optionally send Double Opt-In confirmations when manually processing or importing items
- Improved format of files when exporting to a CSV file

* PROGRAM TIPS

- Smart Pix Manager/MegaView: Editing a Copy of your Image

Generally it is not recommended to modify the original images retrieved from your camera. They should be treated as your "photographic negatives" so you can always access your original print even if you make an editing snafu (if you are running out of disk space you can archive your original images to CD or DVD using the free utility on our Plug-In page).

For this reason SPM and MegaView offer the function, "Edit copy of File" which will create a copy of the current file and open it in your image editor for editing. You can access this function under the Edit menu, or using the shortcut, Shift+Ctrl+E.


- DVD PixPlay: Printing of your Slideshow

With v1.1 it is now possible to print out your entire slideshow project or individual images. This provides a sharing option for those last few remaining relatives who still do not own a computer.


- MailList King: Backing up to a Remote Computer

V4.35 offers a new backup option for Pro users: Backups can now be e-mailed to a remote address. This provides an extra safe solution to protect your intellectual property from such a catastrophe as a hard disk failure. You will find the new option under View|Options on the menu.


- Diji Album: Re-ordering your Album Pages

Moving pages around in your album is one of the most common Diji Album tasks so it helps to know the most efficient methods of doing it:

1. You can browse to a page and select Page|Page Properties on the menu. Specify a new page number and click "Move Page"

2. You can display the Contents panel using View|Contents Panel on the menu. Drag the pages and then drop them to new positions

3. You can select File|Album Properties from the menu and then choose the Pages tab. There you can see a thumbnail of each page and can drag and drop them to new positions


- Power Print: Adding Camera Information to your Print-Outs

With version 2, PP can now retrieve camera information from your photos, including shutter speed, aperture, flash settings, and the original photo date. If you want to see this in action, open the Photo Details template and add some images:

1. From the File menu, select "New Document"
2. Go to the Templates page and select "Photo Details.pptemp"
3. Click OK
4. Step through the wizard to add images to your page.

A caption below the image will summarize the photo details. You can double-click the caption to alter the information shown. To choose other items to display select them from the "Auto Text" drop down.
