Using Gmail with Cruise Control
Overview
This document explains how you can access a Gmail account (available from Google) for retrieval and delivery of mailing list messages.
Before you Begin
You will need to download the SSL Plug-In
Retrieving Mail from Gmail with Cruise Control

Log into your Gmail account and enable POP Support. Instructions for this are at:

Run Cruise Control and select View>Options from the main menu |

Select the "Inbox" tab and select "POP Server" option in the "Retrieve From" box |

Click the "Settings" button |
| 5. |
Specify the following settings:
POP Server: pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
Username: your Gmail email address (including @gmail.com)
Password: your Gmail password
Requires SSL: Yes |

Click OK |
Now when you download new messages it will retrieve them directly from your Gmail account
Sending mail via Gmail with Cruise Control

Run Cruise Control and select View>Options from the main menu |
| 2. |
Select the "Sending" tab and choose "SMTP" from the "Send Method" box |
| 3. |
Click the "Settings" button |
| 4. |
Specify the following settings:
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465 or 587
SMTP Server requires Authentication: Yes
Username: your Gmail email address (including @gmail.com)
Password: your Gmail password
Requires SSL: Yes
Requires Login via POP: No |

Click OK |
Now when you send messages you will use the Gmail servers.
