Use the settings under File>Options, Thumbnails to increase the size of your disk cache, then when you return to images you have viewed before your thumbnails will display very quickly. |

Smart Pix Manager and MegaView can display ART files, however EZ-Pix cannot.
If you want to keep an image which is displayed in the AOL browser, right-click
it and select save, then save it as a .BMP file. EZ-Pix can
display a BMP file, though you might want to convert it to JPEG to make
it smaller. |

You have set the option
to make EZ-Pix your default viewer. If you have uninstalled EZ-Pix,
see FAQ #4, otherwise:
a) Click File>Options, Interface
tab
b) Click the 'EZ-Pix Image Associations' button
c) Uncheck all of the files associated
with EZ-Pix (i.e. check the Other option)
d) Click OK. |

You did not disable
the associations that you set to EZ-Pix before uninstalling.
To set your associations (the default viewer) to another program:
a) In Explorer select a GIF image.
b) Hold down the Shift Key and click
on the highlighted file with the right mouse button
c) Select the 'Open with..' option.
d) In the dialog that opens, browse
the list of applications and if you can locate your preferred viewer select
it.
e) If you cannot locate it, click
the 'Other' button and select the program from your hard drive. Click OK.
f) Ensure the 'Always use this program
to open this kind of file' option is checked.
g) Click OK.
h) Do the same with a JPG file. |

You have probably hidden
the Menu, press Ctrl+M to redisplay it or 'Esc' to reset all your view
settings. |

EZ-Pix has both "Shrink to Fit" and "Stretch to Fit" options and they can be selected independently. What's with that?
|
| |
| |
The two options determine how images of different sizes should be displayed:
Shrink To Fit only applies to images that are larger than the preview window. If enabled, it reduces the display size of the image so that it fits within the preview window.
Stretch To Fit only applies to images that are smaller than the preview window. If enabled, it enlarges the display size of the image to the dimensions of the preview window.

When I try to navigate with
the Wheel Mouse it scrolls the file list, how can I stop this?
|
| |
| |
This occurs if you are using
Intellimouse driver and have set the option to add mouse wheel support
to all options. To cure the problem, go to the Intellimouse setup
in the Control Panel and select the 'Exceptions' button. Add EZ-Pix
to the displayed list by browsing to its location. |

You have associated your
images with EZ-Pix, you need to revert this association. See
FAQ
