I like to make slideshows on the internet. SPM has a great feature to produce them.
Somewhere in the process a duration time can be chosen; I Like 4 or 5 seconds. It worked all fine until W7 was installed with IE 9. Suddenly a setting of 5 seconds turned into a refresh time of about 10 seconds.

Is there a possibility to change something in IE 9?
Or do we have to ask Nigel to rewrite the scripts?

L Nijs

Hi Lau

From a quick look at the code i can't see a good reason why it should perform any differently under IE9. I'll need to investigate for the next update.

Hi Nigel,

I did not really expect flaws in your code.

But could there be some sort of preloading in IE 9 which I have turned off? Or IE taking a long time for caching or virus scanning?
It seems a bit as if IE waits for the preset time (so 5 secs for instance) and then starts to think about getting the next picture, which takes another 4 or 5 seconds.

I found out that the interval is much more as intended if the slide show runs for the second time in an infinite loop.

Are other SPM-users more experienced with IE 9 than me?

Regards,

Lau

Hi Lau

I don't personally use IE, so can't comment on its speed, but if you google "IE9 slow" you will get a lot of hits...
